"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.'
For over thirty years Steve has been working therapeutically with clients with a
wide range of problems. He believes that certain qualities are essential to
successful therapy – trust, discretion, motivation, confidentiality and respect.
He believes that the relationship between therapist and client should be at the
heart of the therapy process in providing a haven in which clients will be
received with professionalism, warmth, kindness and dignity.
As well as a psychotherapist, he is trained in body therapy and a dual trained
nurse in mental health and learning disability. He offers a range of treatments
that can help with mental health problems, emotional challenges, and some
psychiatric disorders. He has a special interest in pregnancy and post-partum
difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
Steve aims to enable those he sees to understand their feelings, and what
makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed. This can equip them to cope
with difficult situations in a more adaptive way.
Through the years he has worked with clients internationally and in a wide variety of settings particularly relating to psychological trauma and PTSD.
He has had numerous articles published through the years. He is a contributing author of “Cognitive Behavioural Interventions for Mental Health Practitioners,” and author of a self-help publication “50 Tips to Beat Depression,”
