About Steve
For over thirty years I have been working therapeutically with clients with a
wide range of problems. I believe that certain qualities are essential to
successful therapy – trust, discretion, motivation, confidentiality and respect.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client should be at the
heart of the therapy process in providing a haven in which clients will be
received with professionalism, warmth, kindness and dignity.
As well as a psychotherapist, I am trained in body therapy and a dual trained
nurse in mental health and learning disability. I offer a range of treatments
that can help with mental health problems, emotional challenges, and some
psychiatric disorders. I have a special interest in pregnancy and post-partum
difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
I aim to enable those I see to understand their feelings, and what
makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed. This can equip them to cope
with difficult situations in a more adaptive way.
Through the years I have worked with clients internationally and in a wide variety of settings particularly relating to psychological trauma and PTSD.
I have had numerous articles published through the years and am a contributing author of “Cognitive Behavioural Interventions for Mental Health Practitioners,” and author of a self-help publication “50 Tips to Beat Depression,”
